Yun C. (Grace) Li,
President & Chief Executive Officer
Before joint BFL Associates Ltd. as a Managing Director in July 2007, Yun Chen (Grace) worked over 16 years within the United Way system. She worked at the Fund Development Division of United Way of Greater Houston (1994 -2007) after 4 years of services as Program Director at the Chinese Community Center (an United Way Agency). She successfully developed Asian Pacific Islander Campaign in Houston and, coordinated community campaigns in Bay Area, Fort Bend County and Waller County for 10 years. She raised millions of dollars for United Way which fund social service agencies and programs in Greater Houston area.
Grace volunteered to serve as a Reference Group member with United Way International “Global Standard project” in 2005. She helped collect feedbacks from China Charitable organizations and edited Chinese version of the Global Standards. She has participated and helped communication with Chinese delegations at United Way International World Assembly in Melbourne Australia (2006) and United Way International Asian Pacific Islander Regional conference in Seoul Korea (2007).
Grace wrote many articles to introduce United Way system and Charitable Giving in the United States in Chinese language. Her articles have been published in many Chinese Charitable magazines and websites. She has been a speaker to give presentations in China, such as :
China National Charity Conference/Forum in Beijing (2005)
Shanghai Charity Federation (2005)
China National Charitable Forum in Dalian (2006)
Beijing Charity Association (2006)
International Charity Forum in Jining, Shangdong (2007)
Currently she serves on the Overseas Advisory Board for Beijing Charity Association (2005-present).
Grace’s professional career outside of resource development for charities includes advocate and promote of Chinese Language and Multi-Culture Education. She is active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations in Chinese American communities including:
Chair of Board, Houston Chinese Civic Center (2000-2004)
Board/President, Chinese School Association in the United States (1995-1999)
Chair of Board/Principal, Houston Hua Xia Chinese School (1994-1997)
Trustee of the Foundation for US-China Cultural & Educational Exchanges Inc.
Honorable President of the Chinese School Association in US
Grace pursued her Master Degree in Sociology from University of Houston (1990)

College degree from International Business in Shanghai University, China (1985)
She is a Project Blue Print Graduates (Class XX, United Way of Greater Houston).
